Refunds & Cancellation

Effective September 14, 2026. These terms do not retroactively change existing customer agreements.

Website projects: payments are nonrefundable and accepted projects cannot be canceled for convenience. Hosting: free for your first year when ErieWeb builds your website, then automatically renewing at $50 per month or $500 per year until you cancel. Cancel at any time to stop future renewals; prepaid annual terms are not refunded for unused months. These rules are subject to the exceptions below and must be included in the written agreement you accept before payment.

Before you commit

Contacting us, exploring a demo, or creating a project brief does not place an order or accept a paid project. We will provide a written scope, price, payment schedule, and relevant service terms before you commit. A project becomes accepted when both parties accept that written agreement.

Website design and development

After acceptance, website projects are not cancelable by the customer for convenience or a change of mind. Deposits and other project payments are nonrefundable except where a refund or other remedy is required by law or agreed to in writing. Payment obligations, milestones, deliverables, and the process for scope changes are those stated in your accepted agreement. Discuss questions or changes with us as early as possible.

Hosting: free first year, then automatic renewal

When ErieWeb builds your website, your first year of hosting is completely free. There is no charge for that year and no payment is required to start it.

After the free year, hosting continues on the plan you choose and renews automatically until you cancel: $50 per month, billed monthly, or $500 per year, billed annually in advance. We will email you before your first charge, telling you the amount, the billing date, and how to cancel. You choose the plan, and the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation method are presented for your agreement before hosting begins.

You can cancel before the free year ends and owe nothing. If you cancel during a paid term, cancellation stops future renewals and your hosting runs to the end of the term you already paid for. Prepaid annual terms are not prorated or refunded for unused months, except where a refund is required by law or agreed in writing.

Domain costs and handling are covered by ErieWeb up to $50 in total. Costs above that amount are your responsibility, billed at cost and confirmed with you before we incur them. Domains are registered through third party registrars under their own terms, and a domain registration is separate from hosting: canceling one does not cancel the other.

Hosting cancellation

You may cancel hosting at any time by emailing erieweb716@gmail.com with the website domain and the contact information associated with your service. You do not need to give a reason. We may verify that you are authorized to cancel the service, but we do not require a sales call or retention discussion.

Cancellation stops future hosting renewals. Hosting remains available through the end of the period already paid for unless you request earlier termination. Prepaid hosting fees are not prorated or refunded for unused time, except where required by law or agreed in writing. We will confirm the end date and any remaining steps. Canceling hosting does not cancel or refund a separate website project.

Before hosting ends, arrange any transfer or copy of your site covered by your agreement to avoid an interruption. Domain registrations and other third party services are separate: ask us which renewals need to be stopped or transferred. Any separate fees or restrictions must be disclosed in your agreement.

Billing errors and your legal rights

Contact us about duplicate or incorrect charges, work not delivered as agreed, or other service problems. Nothing in this policy removes a refund, cancellation right, or remedy required by applicable law, excuses ErieWeb from performing its agreement, or prevents you from raising a good faith billing dispute. If ErieWeb cannot deliver the agreed work, any refund or other remedy will be determined under the agreement and applicable law.
